Monday, Aug. 6
Author to give pair of talks on resilience, influence
Anne Grady, an author, entrepreneur and motivational speaker, will give a pair of presentations for UMMC faculty, staff and students on Monday, Aug. 6.
Grady will present "Resilience Reset" from 3-4:30 p.m., and "Leading Through Influence" from 1:30-3 p.m. All presentations will take place in classroom R354 (upper amphitheatre).

Pathologist to explore Alzheimer's basic, translational research
Dr. Junming Wang, professor of pathology, will present the School of Medicine seminar, "Basic and Translational Research in Alzheimer's Disease," from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, in room CW106 of the Classroom Wing.

Mayo Clinic orthopaedist to present Davis Hand Lectures
Dr. Scott P. Steinmann, professor of orthopaedics at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, will present the J. T. Davis Hand Lectures, "Orthopaedics and Life," and "Complex Elbow Fracture Dislocations," from 6:30-9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, in classroom 3A.

JSU history faculty to discuss Margaret Walker's century
Dr. Robert E. Luckett Jr., associate professor of history and director of the Margaret Walker Center for the Study of the African-American Experience at Jackson State University, will present the Office of Diversity and Inclusion's "inclUsive" conversation, "Margaret Walker: This is My Century," from noon-1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, in room CW-106 of the Classroom Wing.

Chancellor, vice chancellor to speak at faculty meeting
Dr. Jeffrey Vitter, University of Mississippi chancellor, and Dr. LouAnn Woodward, vice chancellor for health affairs, are scheduled to speak at the fall faculty meeting at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 2, in classroom R153 (lower amphitheatre).
The presentation will include an update on the University and Medical Center for the next fiscal year and recognition of faculty with 20 years of service. Full-time faculty with 20 years of continuous service to UMMC should contact Dorothy Singleton by Saturday, Sept. 1.
